The Wheatsheaf and Pigeon is a community pub on the corner of Wheatsheaf Lane and Penton Road between Staines upon Thames and Laleham. It was built in 1850 as a public house to serve the families of the eel fishermen who lived in the cottages next door. We are family and dog friendly but please keep both on a leash!
We welcome anyone looking for a great meal, great service and a relaxing atmosphere. We are the winners of the Best Thames Local Pub 2012/2014/2015 (runner up in 2013) sponsored by the River Thames Guide. Featured in the CAMRA Good Pub Guide 2012/2013/2014/2015/2016/2017/2018 and Cask Marque approved, we love our real ales and know you will too. Our Ale changed regularly (If you have Real Ale that you would love to try, please feel free to ask our friendly staff).
We source our ingredients and products locally and endeavour to cook all our meals fresh to order. We source our meat from Harfords Butchers in Wraysbury and our fruit/vegetable from Apples and Pears in Egham ensuring only the best quality produce is served to you.
We are striving to modernise the decor and we are constantly making improvements to the premises. Please feel free to chat to us about our work so far and our intentions for the future.
We will always strive to do our best for you, so if anything is not to your satisfaction, please do let us know and we will do our utmost to make things right. We are only too happy to help. We pride ourselves on our reviews (Please CLICK HERE for Tripadvisor ratings and reviews) and being one of the best pubs to eat at in not only Staines but Middlesex. We will always do our best for you to make sure you leave our pub happy.
We look forward to welcoming you to our home.Thank you.
